Mitchell Families: Due to the recent increase in snowfall and extreme cold temperatures, MPS will have a 2 hour late start on Thursday, February 23rd. No Morning Tiger Cub PreK. Full day PreK should report at 10 a.m. No breakfast served, buses will run accordingly (but may be altered if road closures continue--drivers will make contact as needed.) Kindergarten Round-up Mitchell Elementary Cafeteria Thursday, March 30, 2023 6:00 pm Mitchell offers a Transitional Kindergarten for students that turn 5 in May, June, & July. The Transitional Kindergarten is also tailored to students that are not ready for regular kindergarten whether it be academic, social, or emotional. We encourage all parents that have kindergarten aged students to attend.

MES & MHS Families: Please come join us for the PET Trivia Night. Thursday, March 2 beginning at 6:00 pm. Doors open at 5:40 pm If you know sports trivia, come show off your knowledge. Great prizes. Pizza & Pop will be sold. There will be a 50/50 drawing. All proceeds go to the Mitchell PET. Please bring your smart phone. You may sit in the bleachers or bring a blanket to sit on the gym floor.

Congratulations to the Mitchell Elementary HALs Blazing Tiger Bot Builders who competed at the First Lego League Nebraska State Tournament in Columbus on Saturday. They competed in the Robot games and were candidates for the Nebraska Innovation Award. We're proud of how you represented Mitchell Public Schools!
