Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is a yearlong course designed to increase overall computer knowledge with an emphasis on computer security.  Topics to be covered may include computer hardware, software, programming, networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity.  Presentations and labs will reinforce theoretical knowledge.  An introduction to the certification process will also be emphasized.

Robotics/Introduction to Robotics (Info-1510)
Prerequisite: None

This offering is a combination of high school offering only and a dual credit offering that helps students utilize off the shelf robotic kits to design, build, and program robots to interact with the real world. The course teaches the student how mechanical, electronic, and software components interact within a mechatronic system. No previous experience is required. Taking INFO-1360, INFO-1210, or previous programming experience recommended.  This course is now offered in an every other year rotation with Introduction to Computer Science.

Programming/Python (Info-1255)
This offering is a combination of high school offering only and a dual credit offering that an introductory study of computer programming, problem solving methods, and accepted software development practices using Python, an interpreted programming language. Topics include the fundamentals of Python procedural programming, object-oriented programming, and introduction of some advanced features of Python. This course prepares the student for further study in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IoT, GIS Software, Robotics, and Engineering.

Media Design and Production (Striv TV)
Students will apply and expand their skills of interviewing, reporting, writing, editing, photography/videography, and design using the Striv TV platform. This class will allow Mitchell High School students to share their events LIVE online. This will provide a great opportunity to reach out to those who cannot attend events. Students will work together to create weekly projects in a variety of media such as broadcast, video, and audio including a weekly announcements show. Students will also explore careers in Media Production and Design. This class will help Mitchell share our Story!
