MES Families: School Spirit Party / Conservation Carnival set for this Saturday at Scottsbluff Zoo SCOTTSBLUFF – Who’s ready for some back-to-school excitement at the zoo? This upcoming Saturday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Riverside Discovery Center in Scottsbluff will host a School Spirit Party / Conservation Carnival. There will be a number of fun games set up throughout the zoo, including many with prizes. There will also be a bouncy house, face painting, bracelet making, a dunk tank, a coloring contest, and special animal presentations. Children will also be able to enjoy the Splash Pad while jamming out to music from DJ Kory Soto. Additionally, there will be some fun activities at the stage, including trivia games and a cool — maybe even hilarious — dance party! So, don’t forget to mark this Saturday on your calendar to come enjoy another memorable and thrilling day at the zoo! And don’t forget to wear your favorite school apparel! Admission to the School Spirit Party / Conservation Carnival is free for RDC members. Non-members will pay regular, daily admission prices to the zoo.

Mitchell Elementary Parent Orientation Wednesday, August 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Opaa will provide food. This is for parents/guardians that have students in grades 1-6, but incoming kindergarten parents are welcome. This is great information to know going into the 23-24 school year. We will have drawings for MPS Family Activity Passes & a REDZ Gift Certificate. PET officers will be here to review the PET for the coming year. There will be a Playtime Matters table.
