“The Mitchell FFA had a very good day at the Leadership Development Event in Chadron today. We had 26 kids compete in 9 different events. We came home with 3 champions which qualified 6 more kids to state. Kids placed as follows: Junior Public Speaking, Josie Weiss-9th and Audree Carlson-10th. Creed Speaking, Jaron Houk-24th and Lucas Esselstein-25th. Senior Public Speaking, Landen Murphy-Champion and Emmett Carlson-10th. Cooperative Speaking, Jonah Splichal-Champion and William Thomas-3rd. Extemporaneous Speaking, Jaelyn Yetter-5th and Thomas Esselstein-9th. Natural Resources Speaking, Alissa Hodsden-9th and Reese Sauer-12th. Employment Skills, William Pieper-11th and Mason Pitts-20th. Ag Demo Team 1, Jackson Jenkins, Rylan Houk, Kaden Hessler, and Wyatt Sauer-Champions. Ag Demo Team 2, Justin Haskins, Autumn Edward’s, and Josie Waite-10th. Parliamentary Procedure, Kate Pieper, Ashton Keener, Jonah Splichal, Kaitlyn Keener, Jake Meyer, and Zane Keller-8th."
